Over the past several days we have received many phone calls from folks looking for immune support formulas. With concerns abound about flu transmission, I wanted to share our more popular immune support products. Since Dimethylglycine, or DMG, is one of our flagship nutrients, we happen to know a bit about how the immune system works.
Immuno-DMG is a convenient tablet that combines DMG with the Maitake mushroom extract. The Maitake mushrooms have a long history of being used for powerful immune support. The formula also includes the immune-supportive nutrients Beta-glucans, and Larch Tree extract.
Maitake DMG Liquid comes with an easy-to-use dropper for dosing. It is a simple formula -- straight-up DMG and Maitake extract.

When asking my coworkers for their supplement success stories, Probiotics were high on everyone’s list of favorite products. Nobody enjoys unfortunate gastrointestinal situations, but Probiotics certainly seem to help! Heather’s entire family – husband and two young children – came down with a particularly unpleasant strain of a stomach bug. While they were incapacitated at home, she was desperate not to succumb to the same fate. As soon as her husband started getting sick, she started taking Mega Probiotic ND. As I mentioned in a previous post, we have been able to determine that our human products can be used in animals, and vice versa.
Superior Omega is a blend of borage, flax seed and fish oils. Lisa uses it for her dry skin. Winters in Vermont are harsh, and her hands would crack and bleed every year, regardless of any lotions or creams she would use. Since she started taking Superior Omega, her hands haven’t become severely dry as they had in years past.
Omega 3, 6, 9 for Dogs & Cats uses the exact same gel caps, but is used for the animal variety of skin and coat conditions – dry, flaky, irritated skin, and a dull coat. My older cat, Smudge, had a tendency to develop hot-spots. Adding Omega 3, 6, 9 to her food helped her heal much faster.
Several more products are available for both humans and pets -- the antioxidant benefits of Cell Revive 880 for dogs also happens to be a perfect match -- with slightly different dosing -- for people, labeled as Cell Protector. CoEnzyme Q10 and MSM are just a couple more examples. You and your pet may have more in common than you realized -- a love for high quality supplements!

Mountain Naturals has a line of supplements created for those furry friends of ours. Mountain Naturals for Pets is a member of the National Animal Supplement Council, or the NASC. The NASC was created to set quality standards in the animal supplement industry. The quality of our products shows by the stories we can share about them.
Tina was one of the first to try Tranquil Aid liquid when it was released. Her chow, Kody, had a long list of items he had destroyed due to his fear of thunderstorms and wind – a laundry basket, a rocking chair, a heavy-duty electrical cord to their dryer, a metal doorknob… The list of definitively non-food items goes on. About 30 minutes after trying Tranquil Aid on a windy summer night, Kody was able to stop frantically licking his paws and settle down to rest, allowing Tina and her family to get some rest of her own.
Heather’s dog Kinger, a bull-dog mix, is a family dog and does wonderfully with kids. A loyal companion, cool and collected with a heart of gold. However once he sets paw near the vet’s office, his anxiety takes over, and he begins bucking like a horse during the entire exam. He would require a team of vet techs to hold him down. Needless to say, the experience became a significant stress for everyone involved. I recently asked my coworkers to share their stories of success with our supplements. Not only are we trained in nutrition when we are first hired, but we use these products every day and enjoy the benefits. Have a headache? A coworker is bound to have some extra MSM to share. Tummy ache? Someone surely has Fast Balance GI stashed at their desk.
Everyone I asked had a story to share, even when I let them know I would be posting their stories online.
Sarah’s boyfriend, Eric, managed to avoid knee surgery by taking Green Mussel Plus for the past year. He has also been able to keep up with his passion for snowboarding and hiking in the winter, which is often the toughest time of the year for anyone with joint issues.
M’s husband credits Clearly Fiber and Best Digest for helping him (and presumably his stomach) feel better than he has in 20 years. Her 5 ½ year old daughter, renowned for being a picky eater, takes one 500mg DMG Chewable a day, and didn’t have a single sick day all winter.
